I cannot wait to share this post with you guys! It's been months in the making and I can't tell you how thrilled I am that this is finally a reality. Last Sunday Jay made me the happiest woman in the world. That's right folks, we…… bought a new dresser!!!!!!
OMG! OMG!
No really. It's a big deal. I've been petitioning for a new dresser for at least forever. Our old malm from Ikea just doesn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, Ikea is the sh*t but something about that light wood veneer monster wasn't working. Or, you know, everything about it. Way back before Christmas I found a pretty decent looking vintage-y mid century one on craigslist for around $200. I know. So. Cheap. I used my best convincing skillz but sadly made little headway (what can I say, I'm a medical student not a law student). After a week of being quite literally harassed (sorry Jay) he finally gave in to my fabulous cheap dresser. I was so excited I flew onto craigslist and of course it was long gone.
Fast forward until Sunday, but insert prolong dresser hecklings and negotiations. After getting brunch at Baby Barnaby's we checked out the fabulous but fabulously overpriced Reeve's Antiques "looking" for a dresser once again. There are like 10 things I would buy from there in a second if I could possibly justify or afford the expense. As it stands it's more of a indoor window shopping situation. My favorite dressers were these two, checking in at a whopping $1000 and $1300. I know. I could eat so much Chipotle for that much money.
